Highland County Public Schools is excited to announce the addition of School-Based Counseling Services through Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) starting in 2025! A VCSB outpatient clinician will be on-site once a week to provide specialized counseling services for students. VCSB accepts all major insurances, including Medicaid. To receive these services, students must complete an intake process with VCSB. Intake options include: 📅 Schedule an Intake at HCPS (January 7) Contact Micah Ward at 540-416-3814. 📞 Schedule an Appointment at VCSB in Staunton Call 540-887-3200 and let them know you have an HCPS student who needs school-based counseling services. 🌭🍟🧅🧀🍩 Corn dogs, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, French fries, funnel cake, and even potato doughnuts! The Culinary Arts class has been frying up a storm during their unit on frying. From safety tips to proper frying temperatures and food preparation, these students put their skills to the test—and nailed it! A special shoutout to Jordan, Hunter, Zach, Wyatt, and Jade for the fantastic potato doughnuts! 🎉👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Great job, team!

Due to partially snow covered roads in the western parts of the county and cold temperatures overnight, Highland County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, December 6. Additionally, the HHS English Field Trip scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to a later date.
