Mrs. Hupman's Spanish II students took inspiration from the molas created by the Guna people of the San Blas Islands in Panama and crafted their own colorful paper versions today! ๐ต๐ฆโจ
Molas are beautifully layered and embroidered textiles traditionally worn as part of blouses by Guna women. They represent an important part of the Guna peopleโs cultural identity and artistic expression.

Kindergarten celebrated Day 20 with a special visit from Sheriff Bob Kelly, our very own โZero the Heroโ! He shared maps of Highland County and surrounding areas, sparking lots of curiosity among our young learners.
Students were fascinated by his uniform and gear, and Sheriff Kelly encouraged them to practice memorizing their home address and phone number โ an important safety tip!
A big thank you to Sheriff Bob for an awesome visit and for making learning both fun and meaningful! ๐๐ฎโโ๏ธโจ
