Pursuant to President Biden’s Presidential Proclamation to lower the United States flag, HCPS flag of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia will be flown at half-staff in respect and memory of former U.S. Senator Harry M. Reid, Jr.
The Maple Festival is planned to return this year and we are so excited! We are gauging interest on bringing back the annual Maple Queen Pageant. Cappy Jackson, with the Chamber of Commerce, will be available during high school lunch this Thursday to chat further details about the event, requirements of contestants, and provide applications to take home.

Highland County Public Schools is closed today, January 3, 2022. Classes will be held virtually. Due to the delayed start of the school year we were not able to schedule snow days. Therefore, today classes will be held virtually to ensure the safety of our students.
