HHS took 38 students to Dynamic Aviation's NEXT GEN Aviators Event this week. Students learned about careers in aviation, used rivets to make their own model airplanes, practiced wiring for avionics, used flight simulators, and had an opportunity to fly over Harrisonburg and Bridgewater.

The 6th graders spent a glorious fall day on Elkhorn Lake with our Chesapeake Bay Foundation guides. All became improved navigators with a little practice. After testing the water and by examining the plant and animal life, this lake was found to be extremely healthy.
Literacy Night is November 8th and we cannot wait to see you there! 📚

Highland's very own published author/illustrator Ginny Neil shared her book The Glorious Forest that Fire Built with students at HCPS and hosted a poetry workshop with 8th graders. We thank her so much for sharing her talents with us.
