🏛️ Our Highland High School gifted middle and high school students recently enjoyed an enriching trip to Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello! Students toured the historic home and grounds, learning fascinating details about Jefferson’s life, family, careers, and many accomplishments. 🇺🇸✨ The adventure continued with a visit to the University of Virginia, where students explored the campus and compared its architectural features to those they observed at Monticello. They were especially amazed by the impressive Alderman Library, spanning 5 floors and more than 250,000 square feet! 🤯📖 What a wonderful opportunity to bring history, architecture, and higher education to life through hands-on learning! 💙💛
