MONTEREY — Amelia Good knocked down a pair of free throws in the final quarter last Wednesday night, sealing Highland's 21-15 girls’ middle school basketball win over Union Educational Complex.
The win was the first of the year for the Rams, who are now 1-4.
Good and Brooklyn Bussard scored six points for the winners, Addison Lockridge had five, while Sarah Liller and Kristina Neil had two points each.
The Union boys downed Highland (0-5), 25-16.
Levi Warner scored 10 points for the Rams and James VanReenen added six.
Highland hosted Marlinton Middle on Tuesday and plays at Green Bank, W.Va. tonight.
