MILL CREEK, W. Va. - Kirsten Wood and Zalea Good served 10 aces each here Tuesday night, powering Highland High School to a straight-set 25-8, 25-13, 25-19 volleyball victory over Tygarts Valley. 

The Rams totaled 28 aces in the match. "We played really well as a team," said HHS coach Cindy Wood. "We served and hit well. They let very few balls hit the floor." 

Good had five kills for Highland, Brianna Wimer had three, Autumn Warner and Briannah Moyers added two each, and Wood knocked down one. Moyers had three aces, Warner and Colleen Adams had two each, and Wimer served one. 

The Rams (0-1 Pioneer District, 1-1 overall) play a doubleheader tonight at Parry McCluer and host Bath County in their home opener next Thursday. 

Tygarts Valley was a 25-15, 25-20 winner over Highland in Tuesday's junior varsity match.
