ALLEGHENY HIGHLANDS — Three area softball players have been named to the Class 1, Region C all-region second team.

Highland senior Colleen Adams made the honor squad as a catcher, and joins Bath County sophomores Addie Lockridge, second base, and Trinity Forbes, outfield, in earning recognition by the region coaches.

Adams had a breakout season for the Rams, who finished with a record of 6-12, and advanced to the regional tournament in their first varsity season since 2012. From the leadoff spot in the Highland batting order, she hit an area-leading .525 (31-for-59), scored 23 runs and drove in 11.

Lockridge and Forbes were catalysts in the Chargers’ first varsity season since 2019, leading the group to a record of 7-12.

Lockridge hit .433 (26-for-60), with a .563 on-base percentage, and a .520 slugging percentage, while driving in 12 runs. Forbes hit .482 (27-for-56), slugged at .643, had an on-base percentage of .646, and had 11 RBI.

Auburn junior Kaylee Ramrattan was the region Player of the Year, while Seann Gaynor was the Coach of the Year, leading the Eagles to the region title.
