MOUNT STORM, W.Va. — Colleen Adams scored a career-high 31 points, leading Highland to a 48-19 girls’ basketball win over the Union Educational Complex here Saturday afternoon.

Adams scored 19 points after the halftime break and was 9-of-14 at the free throw line.

Highland, which dressed just five players for the game and played most of the second half with four due to a foul out, led 15-5 after one quarter, 26-5 at the half and 41-13 after three.

Brooke Williams added 11 points and four rebounds for the winners, Adelaide Baxter had four points, Anna Meehan added two points and Marley Jarrells pulled in four rebounds.

Bailey Casteel had five points for Union, who is winless on the season.

The Rams’ scheduled trip to Eastern Montgomery on Tuesday was postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday night.

Highland (4-9) is at home tonight against Craig County and goes to Parry McCluer on Monday.
