MILL CREEK, W.Va. — The girls from Highland are piling up the victories.

Last Friday, the Rams were straight-set winners at home against the Union Educational Complex, 25-8, 25-20, 25-16, and Monday night they went to West Virginia and brought back a 25-19, 25-16, 27-25 win at Tygarts Valley, W.Va.

Highland won just a pair of matches last fall, but have now won three straight and are 6-3 on the year.

Colleen Adams had six kills, six assists and three digs for the Rams on Monday, and Jade Hotz served nine aces to go with three kills.

Emma Brower swatted down a team-high eight kills, Sarah Liller had six aces and Ali Veasey added three digs.

Adams had 11 aces, seven assists and six kills for the Rams against Union and Liller added five aces and five digs.

Other leaders included Virginia Richardson with 13 digs, Hotz with 11 kills, Veasey with 10 digs and Brooklyn Bussard with five assists.

Highland hosts Craig County today, goes to Narrows for a Friday night doubleheader and plays at Bath County on Tuesday.

In JV action, the Rams improved to 4-1 on the season with a 25-8, 25-12 victory over Union on Friday.

Amelia Good led Highland with seven aces, five digs and three kills, Adelaide Baxter had six assists and four kills and Makynley Smith had five kills and four assists.

Hensley Neil added three aces and three digs, Brooke Williams coupled three aces with three kills and Elanor White had three digs.
