MONTEREY — Highland won a three-set middle school matchup with Bath County here Tuesday — 25-14, 15-25, 15-3 — tipping off a volleyball triple-header between the two programs.
Aspen Lupo led the Rams with seven kills and three digs, Addison Sponaugle served 12 aces and Wren Cox had four aces.
Karmen Riley paced the Chargers with 16 serving points and eight aces.
The Rams are 2-4 on the year.
They started the season last Monday, losing at home to Tygarts Valley, W.Va., 25-17, 25-20.
Last Tuesday, they fell in a doubleheader at Pendleton County, W.Va., 25-8, 25-14 and 18-25, 25-7, 25-9, and the Rams split two matches with Shawsville, winning the opener 25-21, 20-25, 15-8, and losing match two, 25-22, 14-25, 15-8.
Highland’s roster this season includes Lucy Honaker, Martha Sweeney, Ida Farell, Caston Lightner, Wren Cox, Addison Sponaugle, Aspen Lugo, Ashlynn Smith, Marley Hindman, Kennedi Hiner, Elizabeth Richardson, Brielle Ruckman and Leah Armstrong. The Rams are coached by Laura Honaker.

Bath County (0-3) lost at Pendleton County last Thursday, 16-25, 25-14, 25-5.
The Chargers are at Narrows today, while Highland is at Parry McCluer for a doubleheader today.
