On Class Day at Highland High School last week, athletic director Michael Warf presented John Wagner with the Male Academic Athlete of the Year award, given to the senior who competed in at least two sports each year of high school and had the highest GPA. No female senior met the requirements this year. Wagner and Hannah Meyerhoeffer were named Athletes of the Year as voted on by team coaches. This award only requires participating in one sport per year.
