ELLISTON — The Highland junior varsity softball win streak looked to be coming to an end here last Tuesday.

They trailed 10-4 with just three outs left.

Not so fast.

The Rams scored eight times in the top of the seventh and Sarah Liller retired the Mustangs in order in the home half of the inning for a 12-10 comeback victory over Eastern Montgomery.

Highland used three walks, singles from Makynley Smith, Emma Brower and Colleen Adams, and a home run off the bat of Peyton Neil to get the job done in the seventh.

Adams had three hits to lead the way for the winners; Smith, Brower and Adelaide Baxter all had two, while Neil and Amelia Good added one each.

Liller struck out six in the circle.

Highland (5-0 TRD, 7-1 overall) was at Parry McCluer on Tuesday; today’s game against Craig was canceled. The Rams host Bath County on Monday.
