MONTEREY — The Highland middle
school girls improved to 6-3 on the season
last Wednesday with a 51-20 home victory
over Union Educational Complex.
The Rams jetted to a 23-6 halftime lead.
Addison Lockridge and Makynley Smith
each had 16 points to lead the winners.
Other Highland scorers included Brooklyn Bussard with 12, Daisy Moyers, Brooke
Williams and Amelia Good with two each,
and Anna Meehan with one.
Lexi Reynolds scored 10 points for
Union.
The improving Highland boys lost a 46-
35 decision to the Tigers.
Simon Carr had 42 points for Union.
Levi Warner led Highland (0-9) with 13,
Preston Jaccard added 12, Karl Sax scored
six, while Owen Honaker and Gavin Neave
had two each.
Sax hauled in four rebounds, Warner and
Jaccard each had three rebounds and Steven
Rogers had three rebounds and three steals.
The Highland middle schoolers play at
Marlinton Middle next Wednesday.
