Highland County

Welcome Back, Rams!

2025–2026 School Year

Welcome back to a brand new school year! I am honored to join Highland County Public Schools as your new superintendent, and I couldn’t be more excited to get started. I’ve had the chance to meet some of you, and it’s clear to me that while we may be a small school division, our pride, heart, and commitment to students are bigger than most.

With 20 years in education—17 as an elementary and high school principal and most recently as Executive Director of Transportation in Augusta County—I know the true strength of a school division comes from its people. Here in Highland County, I can already see we have dedicated staff, supportive families, and a community that values education.

I want to thank our School Board and the Highland County Supervisors for their continued support of our educational program. Both boards play a vital role in helping us provide opportunities and resources for our students, and their partnership is a key reason for our success.

Our theme this year is simple but powerful: Every Student, Every Day.
That means:

  • Every student is valued.

  • Every student is challenged.

  • Every student is supported.

  • Every day, we work together to help them grow, learn, and dream big.

No matter your role—teacher, bus driver, custodian, aide, food service worker, office staff, or administrator—you make a difference in the lives of our students every single day. This year, let’s celebrate the wins, learn from the challenges, and remember that in Highland County, we succeed together.

I’m proud to be part of the Ram family. Let’s make 2025–2026 a year of growth, teamwork, and success—together.

Go Rams!
